
A4A Art for All is headed by John McKenna A.R.B.S and who works with his various artistic associates to create artworks, in a variety of media from colossal 13m high steel sculpture figures, life-size bronze statues to small limited edition artworks. A4A have their own fabrication workshop and studio bronze foundry and run a variety of courses from the studio, based on a small farm on the beautiful rural coastline of South West Scotland.
A4A have extensive working experience and practical design sense to undertake large-scale public art projects drawing on nearly twenty years of sculpture experience. We work with a variety of media, including large cast bronzes and stainless steel structures, portrait statues, glazed brick architectural reliefs, metalwork fabrication, stone and cast stone. This cumulative mass of experience over the years and genuine creativity has enabled us to resolve many artworks leaving as many delighted collectors, clients and the public to enjoy our work for generations to come.
Short duration 4 and 5 day courses are run in sculpture modelling, portrait modelling, sketching in wax, steel fabricated sculpture, ceramic shell lost wax bronze casting, see www.bronzecasting.org.uk website and painting. On the courses you will work alongside John McKenna, Peter Scott Tudhope and others artists dependent upon the course.
John McKenna A.R.B.S, a member of the Royal society of British sculptors and a professional public artist for over 20 years. John has lectured in figurative sculpture and 3D design in further education colleges. He was originally trained in a strict traditional academic figurative discipline under the auspices of Dame Elizabeth Frink and always prefers to create sculpture modeled with observed naturalism and empathy with the subject, whilst imbuing dynamic creativity.
Peter Scott Tudhope M.A (Fine Art) runs our drawing and painting courses. Peter trained at Edinburgh School of Art, studied a fine art degree at the Glasgow School of Art and obtained an MA in Printmaking at Manchester. Spend a weekend or longer course studying drawing techniques and painting with Peter, in the studio and out and about in the beautiful South Ayrshire countryside and Coastal region.
